Lauryn Hill recorded much of her multi-platinum, Grammy-winning "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" album in Jamaica at the Marley's studio in Kingston, using Jamaican musicians on the album's biggest hits including the chart-topping song, "That Thing." Recently, another U.S. performer, Kenny Lattimore, recorded at the Marley studio, working with the same musicians and is looking at similar success.

When he is not working with big North American performers at studios in the United States, Stephen Marley is in the Marley studio with roots singers like Yami Bolo and his brothers Damian and Julian. Both Damian Marley and Stephen Marley are currently in the studio working on their next albums. The Ghetto Youths are also working on a Def Jamaica project with IDJ.
